The launch of Renata at Forte de Gaia was approached as the construction of a complete visual ecosystem — where space, gastronomy and lifestyle converge within a unified narrative.
Rather than documenting the restaurant, the intention was to define how it exists within a contemporary hospitality context, using image as a positioning tool.
The photography of the space is anchored by its relationship with the Douro River, where light, views and openness become structuring elements of the visual language. The culinary direction focuses on precision and clarity, allowing each dish to exist within a refined editorial framework, aligned with the identity of the restaurant.
Alongside this, the introduction of models brings a lifestyle dimension that activates the space — not as staging, but as a way of revealing how the restaurant is lived, inhabited and experienced. The art direction connects these layers into a coherent system, where architecture, food, and human presence operate within the same visual language.

Permanent State of Creation developed the visual direction for Renata, the new restaurant in Porto, where new ideas meet the most refined expression of local gastronomy.
The aesthetic draws from elements found in the nightlife of Europe’s great capitals, as well as from the landscape of Gaia and Porto — from culinary traditions and architecture to fashion, culture, and the atmosphere shaped by the Douro River. These references informed every image and video — from model casting and styling to tablescaping, décor, and all brand touchpoints — with the intention of evoking a unique and distinctive identity for Renata.
